The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for leading activities to improve assembly equipment performance and manage assembly process setups. Within this role, you will be expected to drive the business forward, streamline the operation and engage in continuous improvement.

What you'll do?

  • Facilitate Continuous Improvement Activities (Workshop, Kaizen, Suggestion, etc.)
  • Coach and mentor other facilitators on the Continuous Improvement Activities.
  • Perform training for all levels in the organization on Lean Manufacturing elements and other best practices.
  • Lead line design workshops to optimize the layout of production lines, workstations, and material flow.
  • Lead and participate in Value Stream Mapping to analyze and improve the flow of materials and information within a process or across a full value stream.
  • Generate and maintain line layouts to optimize floor space.
  • Assist with ergonomic assessments to ensure they meet ergonomic standards and enhance worker safety and efficiency.
  • Act as a change leader in the facility to find and implement the latest state of the art lean manufacturing / material flow techniques.
  • Lead any plant improvement actions that may be required.

What you'll bring?

  • BSc in Engineering, preferably Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering

  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing and assembly processes. Automotive and/or Electronics is an asset.

  • Knowledge of workstation design and ergonomics.

  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Tools.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD applications an asset.
