Technical Engineer - Wind Energy

From IMAN Global Consulting, a middle and executive management selection consultancy within IMAN companies, we are looking for a candidate for a Technical Engineer - Wind Energy position for a renewable power company for their new Business Unit in Italy.

**This role includes the next responsibilities:

• Technician able to conduct feasibility studies for its brand new Italy Business Unit.

• Reporting directly to the BD Manager and CTO.

• Due diligence of external developed projects and coordination of Co-Developers.

• Planning and evaluation of connection to the power grids (STMG).

• Participation and coordination of work in the preparation of applications for obtaining grid connection conditions.

• Coordination of processes related to the authorization and connection of wind and photovoltaic power plants.

• Consolidating data and analyzing spatial information related to the development of areas for photovoltaic and wind farms and energy storage.

• Preparing dedicated projects/concepts for colleagues, containing selected data sets with appropriate visualization - in particular regarding MV and HV grids.

• Preparing spatial analyzes based on local spatial development plans and other GIS data.

• Creating lists of projects that meet specific criteria.

• Cooperation with land acquisition and design departments in the development of photovoltaic and wind farm projects.

• Working with design and GIS programs (AutoCAD, QGIS and related).

• Participation in obtaining necessary administrative and environmental approvals.

• Technical Manger support in daily professional duties.

• Cooperation with technical departments in Spain.

What do you need to have for this position?

• Required Education: BSc. Degree in Engineering or Physics. Specialized Master’s degree or additional training on renewables is a plus.
• Required Professional Experience: +2 years’ experience in Italian renewable sector in a technical area.
• Required Knowledge: Experience in the renewable energy sector. Advanced MS Office and AutoCad skills, PVsyst WASP, QGIS (excel, power point, word). Multidisciplinary background (commercial, finance, legal).
• Other requeriments: Employee must be already located in Italy and/or be legally eligible to work there. Ideal candidate must be willing to travel within the region.
• Languages: Full professional working proficiency in Italian and English (B2) is mandatory. Spanish is highly valued.
