Who You Are:

In our ongoing quest to bring imagination to life, we are seeking a skilled and inventive Prop Maker/Set Designer to join our team based in Carlton. This hands-on role is integral to crafting the physical props and sets that populate our fantastical video productions, offering either full-time or part-time engagement.

As our Prop Maker, your hands will bring the physical touch to our team, creating tangible connections between our content and our viewers. Your dedication to craft and ability to turn virtual sets into real-world objects will be the key to enchanting our audience and elevating our productions.

Your Responsibilities and Skills:

• Prop/Set Design and Construction: Design and fabricate a diverse array of sturdy props and sets, bridging the gap between digital concepts and tangible creations.
• Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with the creative team to grasp the vision and specifications for each project, fostering a cohesive approach.
• Materials Mastery: Employ a diverse range of materials and techniques to craft top-notch props and sets that are not only visually striking but also functional and safe.
• Time Management: Efficiently manage time to meet production deadlines, ensuring prompt availability of each prop/set for seamless integration into the project.
• Workspace Organization: Maintain a tidy and efficient workspace, meticulously tracking inventory of materials and tools, and procuring supplies as required.
• Problem-Solving Aptitude: Skillfully troubleshoot and resolve prop/set-related challenges during both pre-production and on-set phases.
• Craftsmanship Excellence: Uphold impeccable standards of craftsmanship, guaranteeing that all props and sets meet Spawnpoint Media's hallmark of excellence.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Prop Maker/Set Designer, with a portfolio showcasing your work.
• Strong understanding of construction techniques and materials, with the ability to adapt to various design styles and themes.
• Excellent time-management skills, with the capacity to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
• A creative mindset with attention to detail and a problem-solving approach to design challenges.
• Proficiency in using a wide range of tools and equipment safely and effectively. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Familiarity with the gaming and entertainment industry, particularly Minecraft, is a bonus.
