About the Position

The Marketing and Communications Specialist will be responsible for the planning and execution of marketing initiatives for Softonic properties. Utilising a range of marketing channels including email, press, push, paid search, social and PPC. This will assist in planning the marketing assets and managing agency relationships for external communications, as well as take a lead role in brand image, customer acquisition, segmentation and re-engagement marketing activities.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills and hands-on problem solver with a proven track record of successfully managing marketing campaigns with proven results in awareness, acquisition and retention across channels.

The position will be reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, with whom she/he will define the long term strategy for internal and external communication, including brand image, relationship with media, influence in the industry, our role in industry events and employer branding. At the same time, the coordination of the marketing needs that other departments of the company may have.

Profile

  • Coordination of the overall marketing strategy that includes: website / blog management, lead generation campaigns, assets (presentations, videos, on-page, documents) events coordination and direct marketing.
  • Plan and execute all communications on the different channels (web, newsletter, social, presentations, events) for the distribution of content.
  • Define, coordinate and execute the social media strategy. Ability to be decisive and generate communication pieces adapted to the code of each social platform.
  • Be a great storyteller by understanding internal needs and transforming them into written and visual content.
  • Plan, organise, and execute corporate events for different stakeholders.
  • Work with external partners (International and national PR agencies) reviewing the strategy, getting data or insights to generate press releases and reviewing contents.
  • Participate and coordinate with design and HR anything related to the internal communication strategy of the company such us corporate videos, events, manuals, decalogues, etc.
  • Support the different teams to help reach the Softonic strategic goals as well as meeting / exceeding monthly and annual goals for the company.
  • Set a consumer insight-based rationale and strategic framework for the promotional calendar as it relates to customer segments.
  • Work with editorial and content teams to develop and execute a plan for increasing customer engagement and re-engagement of lapsed members.
  • Analyse and report all marketing and communication actions that are carried out to comply with the established OKRs.

Minimum experience and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field, or an equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years of experience in different marketing positions.
  • Creative ability to generate written and visual content for different communication channels, highly desired.
  • Success as a communicator, presenter and collaborator with stakeholders; this role will frequently interact with partners, employees and agencies and requires a high-degree of confidence presenting and listening.
  • Self-starter, flexible, comfortable working in an unstructured environment, great motivator and influencer leader able to manage multiple priorities and projects effortlessly.
  • Native or high level of English - comfortable using it as the main working language.
  • Expertise across media platforms such as Meta Business Manager, Wordpress, Criteo etc.
  • Experience managing agency relationships, key opinion leaders and freelancers for content, public relations and paid media.
  • Experience in managing digital advertising directly, particularly with regards to direct response campaigns, is a plus.
  • Proficient with Google Fundamentals (Ads, Analytics, Marketing Platform, Campaign Manager); Google AdWords certification is a plus.
  • Ability to manage lists and segments within lists and database management skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity and motivation to understand what drives consumer behaviour through quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Understanding and/or having worked in digital business is a plus.
