About the role:

Professional responsible for the Metris Platform for Quality Assurance in the End-to-End Testing of the ANDRITZ Automation Technology area. End-to-end testing is typically performed by Quality Assurance teams and is executed in dedicated test environments. This role is focused on a deep understanding of the customer environment. End-to-end testing starts from the user's perspective, simulating typical operations that can be performed. End-to-end testing verifies that all components of a system can run under real-world scenarios, which are dynamically replicated by real-time simulators. Within this role, we would like to guarantee customers the high quality of the final product.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Create test scenarios that are specifically adapted to a realistic application in the field of industrial automation. This includes the following areas: All system functions that are used in the workflows during the life cycle of an automation system, performance, operational safety, functions stability, and functional correctness.
• Create user test scenarios that describe end-user interactions with the system. This includes the following areas: User input, expected results, and response of the software
• Test of the usability of the GUI and functions
• Communicate with key- and end-users to validate and ensure the realism and correctness of the test scenarios
• Create and execute test cases (manually and automatically) based on created scenarios
• Define the test system setup
• Conduct system testing in real-world scenarios, evaluating all integrated components and external dependencies
• Report test results, identify and manage bugs, and assess risks associated with the testing process
• Communicate with development teams to ensure alignment with customer requirements and contract specifications
• Align test execution to METRIS release planning and roadmap
• Provide advice regarding testability during the development of new features
• Stay updated on testing and QA methodologies, tools, and trends

Skills:

• Knowledge of Industrial Automation: PLC hardware and programming, machine maintenance, and commissioning
• Ideally process knowledge in an industry related to the product’s portfolio
• Project management knowledge
• Basic understanding of software architecture
• Knowledge about Quality/Quality Assurance
• Testing techniques such as Equivalence Partitioning; Limit Value Analysis; Decision Table
• Change management/issue tracking system, ideally Cucumber / JIRA
