Transportation Design Engineer

AECOM is seeking a talented Roadway/Transportation Design Engineer to join a dynamic and highly technical transportation team of planners, engineers, and technicians in the Murray, Utah office.

As a Transportation Design Engineer, you will lead the design on transportation projects for a variety of clients in public and private industries. You will also have the opportunity to be part of cutting-edge design projects that utilize the latest technologies for delivering design services to clients.

• Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team.
• Responsible for 3D modeling.
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
• Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
• Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
• Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
• Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
• Prepares technical specification sections.
• Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS in Civil Engineering
• Professional engineering related work environment with heavy emphasis on design of highways / roadways.
• Utah PE licensure or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Knowledge of industry standard computer software such as Civil3d, Microstation ORD / Open Roads
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, develop technical reports and document client communication.
