SENIOR DATA ENGINEER

As our new Senior Data Engineer, you will be part of our expert team in delivering marketing insights and marketing science. Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement data solutions: Design and develop scalable and efficient data pipelines, ensuring optimal processing and storage of datasets.
  • Select and implement tools: Evaluate, select, and implement the right tools and technologies for data processing, transformation, and storage, keeping abreast of industry best practices.
  • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and provide robust data solutions.
  • Data transformation and preparation: Transform and prepare diverse data sets from various sources, such as flat files (CSV/Parquet), SQL and Non-SQL databases to be ingested on Snowflake.
  • Data Modeling and Transformation: Utilize advanced data modeling techniques to structure and organize data for analytical purposes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and ease of analysis using dbt.
  • Programming proficiency: Exhibit strong programming skills in SQL ensuring the development of maintainable and efficient code.
  • Cloud and containerization: Leverage cloud services (AWS and Snowflake) and containerization tools (Docker and Kubernetes) to optimize scalability, availability, and perform.

Required experience and qualifications:

  • Proven experience: A track record of successfully deploying and maintaining data engineering solutions in real-world applications, ideally using Snowflake and dbt.
  • Cloud and containerization skills: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Programming languages: Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (e.g., SQL, Python, Scala, Spark…).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze complex data engineering challenges and devise innovative solutions.
