Applications Engineer

Location: Remote (preference for Central or Western time zone, USA)

Casambi is the global leader in wireless lighting control solutions based on Bluetooth technology. We are adding to our team in North America and are looking for an engineering specialist with experience in lighting control design and layout.

As an Applications Engineer at Casambi, you work on a team with our specification sales team to deliver timely and accurate lighting control designs and quotations. You may also collaborate with the management and marketing departments on the development of sales tools, drawings and strategies for communicating the Casambi Controls solution.

Job Description

• Engineering a wireless/BLE lighting control system into an existing lighting plan.
• Understanding of basic Lighting Control and Lighting Specification.
• Proficient in Bluebeam.
• Familiar with Commercial Project Specification Standards and National Code Requirements.
• Strong focus on Project management and support to the sales channel to move projects from Spec. to PO.
• Working knowledge of PDF, CAD, and MS Office applications.
• Occasional travel to in-person meetings and trade shows in the US and our HQ in Finland is likely.
• Native Spanish speaking is a plus.

• Four-year university degree or equivalent work experience with a commercial background and high level of technological knowledge.
• Successful track record and experience where you have met or exceeded demanding targets.
• Exceptional integrity, interpersonal and relationship management skills that build long-term trust and collaboration.
• Ability to understand and communicate key business priorities internally among team members and externally to clients.
• Knowledge of LED lighting and control applications is expected.
• Experience and knowledge of Bluebeam design software is required.
• Passionate about delivering customer service and adding value to external and internal customers.
• Track projects from specification to order, commissioning and sign-off process, with each stakeholder and supported by our distribution network.
