Staff Accountant

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to grow as a Staff Accountant by partnering with the Controller and Sr Director FP&A to build and develop a best-in-class accounting department thriving in a hyper growth environment. As Staff Accountant, not only are you able to support the daily accounting operations, you are also adept at documenting and looking to improve processes that support the scaling of Florence’s finance functions starting with Revenue Recognition, GL, AR and AP. You have a strong desire for career advancement further into the world of accounting and finance. You will plan, execute and manage scope and milestones across finance project lifecycles as well as coordinate the development and documentation of essential business processes. You thrive in team environments.

Here Are Some Ways You'll Make an Impact:

• Help the Controller and be the backup with various accounting entries, month end close processing and reconciliations, audit support and tax support.
• Review and interpret contract terms for accuracy in Salesforce to ensure accurate order management and timely billing as well as proper revenue recognition (ASC 606) and related ARR reporting
• Ensuring congruent systems are aligned and data is consistently reconciled.
• Back up AR by learning the processes and participating as needed. Take ownership of AR Cash Applications and become the lead or point of contact for Sales Tax management.
• Support the finance team by helping draft scalable process, controls, and procedures across the finance function.

We’ll Be Successful Together if You Have:

• Thorough knowledge of ASC606, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, process development, internal controls and all other aspects of accounting.
• Excellent Microsoft Office and Google Suite skills – note these skills will be tested.
• 3 - 5 years of accounting which includes experience interpreting accounting implications from complex sales contracts and working with ASC 605/606.
• Strong familiarity and high aptitude for learning software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
• SasS industry a plus
• NetSuite is essential to this role; having familiarity with Salesforce, Maxio/SaasOtics, and Avatax is a plus
• CPA/CMA or CPA/CMA track is a plus
