Senior Accountant

We’re looking for a senior accountant with strong work experience in both Swiss and US accounting as well as tax matters who will work closely with the CFO and finance team. The Senior Accountant will be required to ensure the financial health of an organization through accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, effective financial analysis, and strategic support to management. They will serve as a key resource in maintaining financial integrity and supporting the organization's financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of overall accounting for the group and its entities
• Collaborate with external service providers to ensure financial accounting and reporting (OR), including payroll, tax and VAT for Swiss entities and group consolidation
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure financial accounting and reporting (US GAAP), including payroll, and tax filings for US entities
• Coordinate and take responsibility for financial audits for Swiss and US entities
• Review and analyze financial statements and provide regular reporting
• Ensure best practice and procedures and maintain process documentation
• Work hand in hand with Budgeting & Controlling and respond to ad-hoc requests from investors and other stakeholders
• Liaise with authorities and stakeholders, such as tax, social security and insurance institutions and ensure correct filings

Requirements

We count on your profound skills like:

• Excellent use of GSuite / MS office tools
• Auditing experience is required
• Knowledge or quick adaptability to accounting system Xero (current accounting system)
• Proficiency in English and German
• 5+ years of experience in accounting & finance
• Strong knowledge of US or Swiss OR / GAAP accounting standards
• IFRS experience needed
• CPA / Wirtschaftsprüfer or equivalent experience

Nice to have:

• Experience in crypto or blockchain sector
• Possibility to work some days per month from the office in Zug
• Interest in Blockchain technology and token accounting
