Power BI Developer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Power BI Developer to join our team. As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for developing automated reports and dashboards using Power BI, connecting to multiple datasets, and providing insights through interactive charts and maps. You will work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications for reporting applications. Additionally, your role will involve collaborating with both functional and technical project personnel to deliver high-quality BI solutions.

• Develop automated reports and dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik, with a focus on Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and able to write moderate to complex SQL based on business scenario taking in to account data model and data quality.
• Gather and understand business requirements to set functional specifications for reporting applications.
• Connect to multiple datasets to consolidate relevant data and create reports that provide a comprehensive view of different sources.
• Utilize strong BI modelling skills using Analysis Services to translate reporting needs into BI models for both reporting and ad hoc analytics.
• Create Power BI reports representing various findings and insights using interactive charts, SQL, and maps.
• Develop calculated measures and columns with DAX in MS Power BI Desktop.
• Apply expertise in scripting, data source integration, and advanced GUI development in Power BI.
• Troubleshoot common database issues and ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and project personnel to deliver BI solutions.
• Demonstrate solid communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in client-facing situations.
• Maintain a basic understanding of Microsoft Azure Cloud and Azure SQL database technologies.

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

· 2+ years of experience in BI tools, with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in Power BI.

· Proficiency in MS BI Stack, including Power BI, Azure Analysis Services, SQL Server, and Azure.

· Familiarity with other BI tools such as Tableau or QlikView is a plus.

· Strong SQL knowledge and experience in database querying and optimization.

· Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and reliability.

· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

· Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with end customers.

· Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

· Experience with advanced calculations and scripting in Power BI Desktop.

· Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure Cloud and Azure SQL database technologies.
