Data science & Analytics

At Arbital Health, we are accelerating the shift from fee-for-service agreements to value-based care agreements. We do this by building a neutral, third-party platform that allows our customers to design, measure, and adjudicate value-based care agreements that maximize resources and help patients get the care they need to thrive. We are looking for highly talented and highly motivated individuals. You will be a roll-up-your-sleeves builder eager to innovate and collaborate to change healthcare.

Across all roles, we look for people who embody our values of impact, innovation, collaboration, velocity, and transparency.

Join us to develop and build a new healthcare data and analytics platform to support value-based care contract design and measurement. You will be a founding engineer, and part of a small, collaborative group working across product, design, actuarial science, and engineering. This is a greenfield opportunity to build a new product from scratch to serve a multi-billion-dollar market, and deliver quality, equitable, and high-impact care to more Americans as a result!

We are seeking founding engineers who will use their expertise to help shape our product, grow substantially in their careers, and take leadership roles as we scale.

What You'll Do:

  • Leverage your advanced skills in Python and SQL and with platforms like Databricks and AWS to build highly scalable data pipelines and warehouses
  • Automate data workflows for ingestion, cleansing, quality assurance, enrichment, and aggregation
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, privacy, security, and compliance through automated quality control procedures
  • Partner with data scientists to deploy machine learning models in production
  • Leverage your strong backend development skills to ensure that aggregated healthcare and financial data is rendered accurately in the web application
  • Collaborate with an actuarial science team that primarily works in SAS, R, and Excel
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and overall development of our products
  • Drive innovation and deliver valuable features for our customers

What You'll Bring

  • Experienced in data-intensive, full-stack development projects
  • Demonstrated ability to build an MVP and scale it into an enterprise product
  • Able to work entrepreneurially – self-motivated, ambitious, and fast-paced
  • Able to ship extremely high caliber code and build exceptional products
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to perform under minimal supervision with accountability for specific objectives and work in a rapidly changing, ambiguous start-up environment
  • Passionate about improving and innovating
  • Startup experience is highly preferred
  • Our team works hybrid from the San Francisco Bay Area. We will prioritize candidates who are able to work 1-2x per week from our office and we will consider highly qualified remote candidates who are able to travel for in-person collaboration in San Francisco at least one full week per month.
