Graduate Pricing & Actuarial Analyst

Data science & Analytics

We are currently recruiting for multiple graduate opportunities across our Pricing and Actuarial teams. It’s a hugely exciting time to join us as we have recently delivered a huge transformation programme and continue to strive to be a market leading, data driven and digital business. If you have a mathematical mindset, outstanding statistical and analytical skills, love to get into the detail of things and can use data to tell a story, we want to hear from you!

🌟Graduate Pricing Analyst🌟

Being a part of the Pricing department means you will actively support us in delivering changes to prices and underwriting criteria across esure’s motor and home insurance products. You will assist in delivering pricing initiatives that really make our pricing and rating capabilities market leading. You will learn how to use marketing leading insurance software including Radar and Emblem whilst also building upon your statistical software skills by using software such as SAS and Python.

Read below to find out what our Head of Portfolio Pricing, Draganco Trpcevski, has to say about our graduate opportunities in the Pricing team:

“ By joining the pricing team at esure you'll be at the heart of some of the key decision making within the company, giving you a great opportunity to effect change. Depending on your appetite you could get stuck into risk premium modelling (e.g. the likelihood of a customer claiming) using industry leading software and data science techniques. Alternatively help support and design our portfolio level pricing strategies (where should we grow, what does future profitability look like and its sensitivities to key assumptions about the future). Or you could work with people across the company to create new propositions for us to take to market.

There's also no reason why you can't do all of the above as we support rotations around the team to support your development into a future pricing leader!”

🌟Graduate Actuarial Analyst🌟

As a member of the Actuarial team, you be involved in enhancing esure’s insight and performance through actuarial analysis. You will analyse claims development and trends to ensure we have the best estimate reserves available to protect our customers and business. By carrying out data manipulation using SQL/Python to help investigate emerging trends, you will then use the data to portray a story to teams across esure and support key business decisions being made.

Read below to find out what our Actuarial Manager, Isobel Wallace, has to say about our graduate opportunities in the Actuarial team:

“Our team is on an exciting journey, using our new tools and data platform to automate processes and get deeper insights into our claims experience. Our analysis underpins the understanding of business performance across esure right up to board level. You’ll definitely learn established actuarial techniques to predict claims experience, taking responsibility for your own cohort of business right from the start, but you could also get stuck into building real-time dashboards to monitor experience, automating data flows or creating bespoke analysis to understand how inflation is impacting our claims. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your actuarial career, working closely with experienced professionals and other actuarial analysts who are eager to support your growth”.
