Summary & Objectives

We are seeking a Residential Property Manager with a minimum of 4 years of experience managing and maintaining a residential portfolio of properties remotely. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of residential properties, the Residential Property Manager will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of Assistant Residential Property Managers, On-Site Managers, and support personnel. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment.

This role requires a candidate who can effectively manage and lead a team in a remote work environment.

Essential Functions

  • Manage and maintain a portfolio of properties remotely, leveraging expertise in Appfolio
  • Lead, train, mentor, and manage a remote team of Residential Property Managers and Assistant Residential Property Managers to exceed customer experience expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Property Management on various tasks, including advertising, leasing, and community contacts to maximize occupancy.
  • Oversee the maintenance workflow remotely, focusing on optimizing efficiency, productivity, and service quality. This includes managing documentation in AppFolio, timesheet, and invoice approvals.
  • Expand upon existing fee-based management services for tenants and clients.
  • Provide remote assistance and training to the team in the bidding process, repairs, maintenance, and capital improvements.
  • Ensure accurate records of current space conditions, including roof, HVAC, utilities, Property Checklists, and special circumstances using AppFolio.
  • Make recommendations for remote staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action, and termination in accordance with company values.
  • Generate detailed remote status reports on all properties with the support of Residential Property Management.
  • Ensure that all community, property, management, and client expectations are met with excellence.
  • Stay informed about new technologies, systems, and procedures related to property management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or technical degree in administration or related fields.
  • 3-4 years of experience in property management, inspection, maintenance, or related roles.
  • Experience leading and supervising a team, preferably of property managers.
  • Familiarity with property systems and policies in the USA preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in using Property management software, preferably AppFolio.
  • Attention to detail and organization skills.
