Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our music tech company, playing a crucial role in strengthening our Data Culture. With expertise in Data Warehouse Architecture and Big Data solutions, you will be instrumental in advancing our Data Platform team. Your focus will be on leveraging Data Mesh principles to innovate and enhance our data handling capabilities, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in our data strategies.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with analytical and engineering teams. Your responsibility involves designing and evolving the Data Platform and enabling teams towards autonomy. This position is ideal for those keen on applying their technical skills in a creative, music-focused environment, contributing directly to the evolution of our company's data landscape.

What you will be doing

• Enhance Data Platform: Develop and maintain our Data Platform, utilizing AWS Services, Python, and IaaC tools.

• Design Big Data Solutions: Implement Big Data solutions with a focus on Snowflake offerings.

• Support Data Architecture: Guide teams in optimizing Big Data Models and data strategies.

• Uphold Data Governance: Communicate and enforce Data Platform and Governance standards.

• Stay Tuned: Keep updated with trends in Big Data and Data Engineering tools.

• Utilize Leading Tools: Work with DBT, Airbyte, Airflow, and Snowflake to advance data processes.

Requirements

What you need to be successful!

• At least 3 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer, demonstrating a track record of success in similar roles.
• Hands-on experience with Warehouse databases like (Snowflake, Amazon Redsift, Databricks, etc.)
• Experience with leading Data Engineering tools (i.e. DBT, Airflow, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with Cloud Providers (i.e. AWS, GCP, etc.)
• Ability to work effectively with analytical, operational, and engineering teams.

Extra Points!

• Experience with Data Replication methods and Streaming technologies. (i.e Kafka, Apache Flink, etc.)
• Experience with Data Mesh principles in data platform design and evolution.
• Experience in data visualization and BI tools like Tableau and Metabase.
• Hands-on experience with core AWS services like ECS, S3, EC2, EKS, and VPC.
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Data Science or a relevant field.
