Optical Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Optical Engineer to join our Optics team. You will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and testing optical and optomechanical systems and components for our innovative medical devices. You will work closely with an exceptional team of optical engineers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, microfabrication engineers, software engineers, neuroscientists, and clinicians dedicated to using cutting-edge technologies to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients worldwide. Role & Responsibilities:

• Design lenses and optical components for ophthalmic devices and wearable AR/VR type devices with Zemax
• Generate and finalize engineering specifications and error budgets for systems and subsystems in collaboration with team members
• Build, characterize, and refine complex optical systems and subsystems
• Apply rapid prototyping, testing, and analysis to assess feasibility of novel optical components
