Purpose of the job

The role of an ETL Developer is to analyse, design, develop and deploy ETL flows using Informatica 10 tool. Condor is a project that promotes an Advisory and Discretionary Portfolio Management solution to the top clients in DB. The solution is offered by a vendor. “In-house” we are developing the part where we bring the data from Regional Data Marts through an ETL complex process.

The role includes but not limited to:

• Technical analysis: Engineer works closely with the BA to produce the technical requirements at the beginning of the project.

• ETL Development: Engineer is responsible for analyzing business cases, designing, developing and delivering the ETL flows to accomplish business goals based on business requirements.

• Technology Support: investigate and fix production issues encountered by the underlying solution

Key Responsibilities

• Understand the requirement of business processes and conduct technical analysis for development feasibility

• Design, develop, test, deploy ETL flows, while applying ETL, PL/SQL best practices

• Creation and upkeep of developer artefacts - PDDs, Test Scripts, JIRA tickets - post go live

• Work closely with BA team to validate and sign off on all feasibility studies / Key documents, system access requirements and test case needs to in order to ensure high standard of product delivery

• Provide L2 support function for all production issues raised via JIRA ensuring that an in-depth investigation of any defects / known issues is conducted prior to raising to L3 support group

• Responsible for upkeep and transparency of all JIRA tickets as well as ensuring work estimations are as accurate as possible as well as providing clear updates and escalations in the daily scrum calls

• Working in teams following agile development practices

• Performing code reviews and reviews of technical documentation

Skills & Qualifications :

Must have skills:

• Knowledge of ETL and Data Warehouse Concepts
• Knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL programming language
• Knowledge of Oracle database
• Knowledge of Informatica/ODI/SSIS ETL tools
• Knowledge of Unix Shell Scripting language
• Knowledge of Git/Artifactory/Team City/Jira/Confluence
• Experience with any Scheduler including Cron
• Strong attention to details because analysis needs to be changed few times till when we have a finished product

Preferred skills:

• Experience of Informatica Powercenter version 9.6 or higher
• Experience with DataWarehouse concept, preferably Star Schema or Data Vault
• Experience with Control-M scheduler

• Experience with large and complex projects in enterprise environment
