Our main objective is to create, deliver and maintain insurance product management solutions, as service propositions to enable any agent (linked or direct), machine or company to create and sell insurance products in Europe in an automated way and real time.

We deliver IT services and solutions for the different international Business Units from Nationale-Nederlanden Group

On this occasion, we offer an indefinite Senior Technical Engineer ServiceNow.

You will join the ServiceNow ITX team of 6 professionals, each technically or functionally skilled and always on the lookout for the latest developments. You contribute to our Service Portal and Service Catalog, coordinate with your colleagues, and present the results to (future) users. You certainly won’t stay in your own ServiceNow bubble: your team is on the ServiceNow platform and collaborates closely with other technical engineers with whom you exchange a lot of knowledge. This interconnectedness with the rest of Nationale-Nederlanden is certainly a pleasant aspect of this job. It is a job full of challenges and dynamism. We play a crucial role for the business of Nationale-Nederlanden. But we also find it important that we can turn to each other to let off steam or do enjoyable things. Work on unique technical systems that have a significant impact on the daily workflow of all your IT colleagues. Do you have the motivation and perseverance to apply your ITOM knowledge within our ServiceNow environment? Then we have an exciting challenge for you!

What is the purpose/mission of the position?

All your IT colleagues use the IT services or services that we as a team provide. Our team is working on Knowledge Management and Reports / Performance analytics in addition to the other ITSM and ITOM modules. You will create new logic, automations and ATF’s to streamline the work for everyone.

What else do you do?

Actively discuss the desired functionalities with users

Implement the functionalities in ServiceNow and surrounding systems

Monitor the quality and integrate your product into the already available facilities

Work in a team and function as a backup for your colleagues

Coach your colleagues on skills that you excel in

What are we looking for?

Your way of communicating and explaining things clearly gets people on board. This is perfect for conveying and advising users. You empathize with others and understand what information is needed to truly help someone. Thus, you are an important ambassador for the team. You actively collaborate for the best service and motivate your colleagues to go that extra mile with you.

You are curious and have good conceptual thinking. Naturally, you have:

  • Sharp understanding and interest in technologies that make the work of IT professionals easier
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, Infra, Cloud (AWS/Azure), CSDM and ITOM
  • Minimum 3+ years of ServiceNow experience
  • Minimum 2+ years of ITOM experience
  • Ability to independently take on projects
  • Possession of the certificates CSA, CIS Discovery, CAD (preferred), CIS ITSM (preferred), CIS Service Mapping (preferred)
  • Experience with UX design
