As a Gameplay Programmer at Mob, you’ll assist in pioneering a new & exciting venture, as we work on an our games including Poppy Playtime and others. You’ll work closely with the Senior Game Designer to rapidly prototype new & innovative game mechanics in Unreal Engine 5, on a mission to break the norms of media and create a game that you’ll be proud of for years to come.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

While prototyping new games …

  • Collaborate with the Senior Game Designer to rapidly prototype new game mechanics in Unreal Engine 5
  • Give estimates on when features will be ready for playtesting
  • Participate in regular playtesting

During pre-production & production …

  • Follow best practices, development processes, and coding standards
  • Work with a team of programmers to create and implement well-engineered, reliable and maintainable code
  • Fix bugs, and profile/optimize code
  • Mentor less experienced programmers

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years industry experience outside of school setting
  • Strong in Unreal Engine 5, Blueprints & C++
  • Proficiency in linear algebra, trigonometry, and 3D vector manipulation
  • Excellent writing, communication & interpersonal skills
