About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Web Development Engineering Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading web development teams, driving technical innovation, and delivering high-quality web applications. You will be responsible for overseeing the technical direction, architecture, and development of our web projects while ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.

Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical direction and guidance for the web development team.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex web applications.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, coding standards, and quality assurance.

Innovation and Improvement

• Drive technical innovation and stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Encourage experimentation with new technologies and approaches to improve development processes and product offerings.

Customer Focus

• Understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Work closely with customers or clients to gather feedback and iterate on web applications.

Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Expertise

• Deep understanding of web technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
• Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain complex web applications.
• Strong proficiency in front-end and back-end development.

Leadership and Team Management

• Experience in leading and managing web development teams.
• Ability to set clear goals, delegate tasks, and provide constructive feedback.
• Experience in mentoring and developing engineers at different levels of their careers.
• Ability to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Communication Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience working with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize features.

Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in web development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

• Proficient in multiple front-end programming languages (e.g. Vue and React) and with a good understanding of software architecture.

• Experience with modern version control systems, such as Git.

• Strong understanding of web performance optimization.

• Experience with cloud services, microservices architecture, and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
