We're always looking for more talent with a variety of backgrounds.At buycycle, we’re excited to find a Data Engineer (all genders) who's eager to work closely with both our analytics and tech teams. In this role, you'll be at the heart of designing, developing, and maintaining our data platform. Beyond that, you’ll have a hand in improving our self-service platform, making it easier for everyone in the company to do more with their data.
  • You build and maintain data pipelines that are both efficient and reliable, ensuring our data quality is second to none.
  • You transform raw data into valuable insights that can guide our decision-making process and strategy.
  • You lead efforts to enhance buycycle's infrastructure by implementing new services and improving our system’s overall design.
  • You plan and lead the execution of data engineering projects, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • You collaborate with our tech and analytics teams to establish best practices in data management and usage.
  • You communicate with stakeholders across the company to develop data products that meet our high standards and support our goals.
  • You’re a team player with at least 2 years of experience in data engineering, ready to take on significant responsibilities.
  • You have a solid understanding of cloud solutions like AWS and are comfortable navigating the cloud infrastructure landscape.
  • Experience with ETL and ELT processes is crucial, and familiarity with tools like Airbyte and StitchData is a plus.
  • You're skilled in data modeling (SQL) and analytics engineering, with dbt knowledge being a significant advantage.
  • Proficiency in data warehousing and management, especially with Snowflake, is essential.
  • Your coding skills, preferably in Python, are strong, and you have experience building scalable data pipelines and using workflow management tools like Airflow.
  • You’re proactive, always looking for ways to improve our processes and challenge the status quo.
  • Experience with Docker, CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions, or a basic understanding of DevOps principles would be beneficial.
