Accounting Assistant

We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to perform a variety of accounting, data entry, and financial tasks. This is an entry-level part-time role. There is a 25-hour a week minimum for this role, with a 40-hour max. You will also use our accounting software for data entry and provide administrative support to the accounting team. A successful Accounting Assistant should be familiar with basic accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
  • Gather, sort, & organize required documentation for billing
  • Maintaining accounting database and records
  • Support collection efforts
  • Support month-end close activities
  • Various other assigned tasks

Successful candidates will have:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel
  • Positive and friendly personality
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Ability to multi-task, use sound judgment and critical thinking
  • Exemplary attendance
  • Aptitude for numbers
