Canonical seeks an experienced developer to join the Observability team in developing a cloud-native monitoring stack based on best-in-class open-source monitoring tools. The stack provides deep insights, seamless user experience, and smooth Day 1 and Day 2 operations. Work will involve collaborating with a global team, writing high-quality code, debugging issues, and representing Canonical at conferences. Remote work with global travel is expected.

Requirements
- Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or similar degree
- Strong working knowledge of modern monitoring technologies like Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana, Loki, Mimir, etc.
- Skilled Python developer with open-source experience
- Working knowledge of Go
- Hands-on experience with deploying, configuring, and using Kubernetes
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools
- Interest and experience with Ubuntu Linux, container images, Debian packaging, and distributed systems
