What are we doing?

At Sweed, we offer a comprehensive cannabis retail solution with a wide range of features, including powerful POS functionality, in-depth analytics, marketing and promotional tools, efficient inventory management, and more. Our progressive web app can be easily accessed through the tablets already available in your store without any additional hardware required.

Since our establishment, we have been committed to creating an all-in-one system tailored to the specific needs of large cannabis retailers. Today, we are proud to be a market leader, owing much of our success to our signature killer feature – providing a full spectrum of software in one solution.

We recently joined forces with Leaf Trade company. This merger provides a comprehensive technology suite for MSOs and dispensary groups with multiple locations, streamlining retail operations and saving cannabis companies a significant amount of time and money.

What to do in a project? What challenges will you meet?

The Leaf Trade is a product for manufacturers' interaction: orders, partial delivery, inventory, warehouse, integration with shipping services, data submission to US government agencies, part of the marketplace. You will work on all of these aspects, and in the future, the Sweed and Leaf Trade products will be integrated, and new components will be added.

The primary challenges for FE are a rebuild and upgrade of the user experience for the site. There is a focus on improving look, feel, and functionality for our users, and an increase of focus on improving our in-platform advertisements. Additionally, the technology is undergoing updates and improvements, and we're integrating a newly defined component library. So, we have legacy functionality we want to update and improve, alongside new features.

What professional skills are essential to us?

• 5+ years of experience with Frontend development preferably in the product company;

• Experience with React;

• Excellent communication skills in English (Upper-Intermediate level+).

The main tech stack:

• Front end core skills: HTML / CSS / JavaScript
• Front end library: we use React, with Redux as a store
• Testing: we use Jest
• Package management: we use yarn
• Module bundling: we use webpack
• Familiarity developing within a web app framework: we use Django (which is written in Python)

The conditions:

Is there a probation period, and how long does it last? - Probation period lasts 3 months.

What is the work schedule? - Flexible working hours. But it’s essential to overlap with Chicago (at least 4 hours).

Is it possible to work remotely? - There is an opportunity to work fully remotely, we are a remote-first company, and we don't have offices.

What currency is the salary paid in, and what is the form of employment? - Salary in dollars (employment under a B2B contract with the USA).

The number of vacation days? - 20 working days per year.

The number of sick leave days? - 3 days.
