**About the Role:

As a Senior Audio Engineer within our Headphones Business Unit, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the acoustic systems at the core of our cutting-edge personal listening products. You'll collaborate with a diverse team of experts across software, hardware, and acoustics, driving innovation and excellence.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop Acoustic Systems: Design and develop advanced acoustic structures and systems for our products.
  • Evaluate and Define Requirements: Assess hardware performance and define system requirements to ensure top-notch quality.
  • Problem Solving: Tackle complex challenges that span across hardware and software interfaces, finding innovative solutions.
  • Data Analysis and Optimization: Analyze product data, test samples, and lead the optimization of design for peak performance.
  • Technology Roadmap: Contribute to the strategic development of our technology roadmap, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve.
  • Mentorship: Share your expertise and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

**Basic Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in acoustics.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in building tools for system simulation and data analysis using Matlab.
  • Measurement Expertise: Experience performing and interpreting audio measurements in both electronic and acoustic domains. Experience with headphones is a significant plus!
  • Digital Signal Processing: Solid understanding of the fundamentals of digital signal processing.
  • Prototype Handling: Skilled in manipulating physical prototypes to achieve precise acoustic results.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience articulating technical concepts to cross-functional teams.
  • Product Development: Proven track record of supporting product development from initial exploration to mass production.
  • Flexibility to Travel: Ability to travel overseas as needed to meet project and business requirements.
  • Location: Ability to work full-time in either our Glasgow or London offices.

**Preferred Qualifications:

  • Software programming experience
  • Knowledge of Python
  • Familiarity with simulation software such as COMSOL
  • Experience with supporting high volume production in consumer electronics
