- Support different versions of CICS.
- Upgrade CICS Transaction Server (TS) environments to new releases.
- Support and upgrade CICSPlex SM (System Manager) environments, which help manage multiple CICS systems.
- Solve complex CICS problems effectively and quickly with minimal assistance and direction.
- Support on-call 24/7.
- Support clients with CICS Web Service.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a CICS Systems Programmer.
- Experience with CICS TS version 3.2 or higher.
- Knowledge of handling capacity and performance issues.
- Ability to read and debug mainframe core dumps (detailed error reports).
- Familiarity with mainframe tools like TSO (Time Sharing Option), ISPF (Interactive System Productivity Facility), SDSF (System Display and Search Facility), and JCL (Job Control Language).
- Experience with CICS TS working with DB2 databases.
- Skill in researching technical issues and finding software solutions.
Nice to have
- Experience with z/OS Connect and RestAPI.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Omegamon XE or TMON.
- Experience with programming languages such as Assembler, REXX, and other scripting languages.
- Experience with high-availability applications.
