Infrastructure Engineer

RS21 is seeking a Senior Platform Product Owner to lead a transformative approach in software engineering that emphasizes the integration of development and operations into a comprehensive platform. This role is embedded with our Federal Partner, focusing on developing and maintaining platform infrastructure crucial for the backbone of product development and testing of strategic national assets. You will be stationed onsite at our partner's facility in Aurora, CO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transition systems to a modern platform infrastructure, aligning with strategic objectives.
• Develop and manage a feature and story backlog that captures strategic initiatives and detailed plans
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, data scientists, and DevOps teams to design and implement mission solutions.
• Architect, design, develop, integrate, and support build, integration & test, and deployment pipelines.
• Optimize infrastructure for performance and scalability, ensure security and compliance within the platform.
• Provide operational support and maintain high standards of infrastructure reliability and availability.

Required Qualifications:

• U.S. citizenship with an active TS/SCI / CI Poly issued security clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Physics, or a related STEM field, with 5+ years of related work experience.
• Proven experience with Agile Development Methodologies (e.g., SCRUM, SAFe).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Kubernetes or Docker.
• Experience with Linux based Operating Systems, VMware, and programming/automation/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current CompTIA Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex systems and infrastructure issues.

Additional Job Details:

• Must be capable of occasional after-hours maintenance and on-call support.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds for hardware installations.
