About you

You’ll be joining the Operational Resilience team as a Business Continuity and Resilience Specialist. Reporting to the Head of Business Continuity and Resilience, you’ll be a part of a fast-growing business that is challenging the market and doing things differently.

We’re looking for someone methodical, organised and collaborative, to join our expanding team to support our rapidly growing business. You’ll enjoy working with multiple stakeholder groups, across a variety of departments, and you’ll work with all areas of the business to help deliver a world class business continuity program. Working within the Business Continuity and Resilience team you will help enhance and evolve business continuity, disaster recovery and operational resilience for the Bank.

This role will be working particularly closely with our Innovation and Operations teams ensuring that our plans are tested and resilient. You’ll be continuously improving the processes, deepening knowledge, and providing support across the business, ensuring that you are improving resilience outcomes by offering analysis and insight. In your new role, you will have the opportunity to drive process improvements, automation, and best practice to deliver a better service to the business and customers, whilst developing and growing as an individual.

You will be

  • Supporting the Head of Business Continuity and Resilience in delivering a strong Business Continuity programme to schedule globally

  • Ensuring that all levels of the business, are prepared for business continuity events, this includes both awareness and training

  • Ensuring that business continuity is embedded within the Bank, measured, and reported through governance in order to provide our Executive Committee and the Board with sufficient oversight and assurance

  • Continuously reviewing and analysing the results of Business Impact Analysis, mapping and exercising to identify risks and issues along with recommendations to mitigate

  • Assisting with the annual testing programme, helping facilitate and report outcome, actions, and deadlines

  • Constantly driving improvements in the process and resilience outcomes for the Bank, our customers and other stakeholders

  • Working closely with our Technology teams to understand the technology product and platform in order to design appropriate tests and scheduling

  • Working closely with third parties or third-party managers to carry out business continuity and exit plan testing

  • Ensuring that processes are embedded and that everyone in the Bank is trained and aware of the incident processes and are supported with tools, advice, and guidance

  • Working across the wider COO function to reduce risks and incidents, improving outcomes for all stakeholders

Requirements

What we are looking for

  • Proven track record of assisting in successfully delivering business continuity programs within an organisation, including gathering Business Impact Analysis, Business Continuity Plans and Crisis Management Planning
  • In depth experience of business continuity, knowledge of best practice and its application operationally for optimal outcomes
  • A demonstrated ability to develop a business continuity and resilience system that develops inline to support a growing organisation
  • Experience of creating and executing business continuity, disaster recovery testing and exercising
  • Experience of working with technical teams to align Disaster Recovery capabilities
  • Experience of the financial services industry and the related regulations and frameworks that a regulated entity like ClearBank operate within
  • Experience of technology-led organisations, ideally with experience of cloud-based platforms
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to work with a range of stakeholders
  • The ability to work with people at all levels of an organisation, both horizontally and vertically
