A Business development manager is concerned with improving and growing a business, by establishing and developing relationships with customers, suppliers and other partners. Furthermore, he/she should promote and supporting inbound and outbound calling activity at the Call Centre for “Preview Channel” campaigns.

Reporting to the Group Director of Marketing – Strategy and Thailand Operations and being supervised by Assistant Director – Strategy and Business Development, the Business Development Manager will support driving maximum return from all our partnership campaigns to meet the commercial objectives for Thailand market, and beyond including assuming responsibility for multiple concurrent projects that is, coordinating activities among multiple internal and external teams. More specifically, he/she should hone following skills to the highest standards:

  • Partnership Management Skills: The Individual must possess good and outstanding partnership management and negotiation skills and continue to acquire and develop new partners and manage the existing ones, in parallel delivering superior B2B relationship experience with a long-term strategic focus.
  • Communication Skills: The Individual must be able to communicate with clients of all backgrounds and educational levels. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills are must-haves.
  • Organizational Skills: The Individual must be comfortable juggling numerous clients, on-and off-site meetings, and deadlines. The Business Development Manager who is highly organized is best equipped to manage the many parts of the job and keep client proposals and other tasks on track.
  • Time-management Skills: The Individual must understand how to prioritize time, and who work in this field must be comfortable managing a calendar and adjusting their schedule as needed.
  • Technical and Computer Skills: Anantara Vacation Club uses Sales Force (SF) to track leads and client calls and document where each prospect is in the sales cycle. Aspiring business development managers must have basic technical and computer skills.
  • Self-Motivation: He/she must be goal-oriented and commission-driven and have the ambition to push themselves to succeed.
  • Work Ethics: The individual must have good work ethics and practice among the team members, with mindful attitude towards the team and senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • More than 3 years of related working experience in Marketing Alliance or Business development roles, good at developing new relationship and acquisitions.
  • Cultural sensitivity to regional differences in business development within South East and North East Asia.
  • Language requirements: Thai and English.
