A bit about the role’s day to day:

· Be an active member of a team that are building the most preferred Private Label and Exclusive brands in New Zealand by effectively developing and improving customer led brands and products that New Zealanders choose first.

· Support the product development team in product development projects assigned in a timely manner and aid in the development and commercialisation of new products,

· As required co-ordinate the market reviews, benchmarking, and evaluation of product submissions from suppliers and book and lead sensory evaluations as needed.

· Collate and conduct shopping requirements for evaluations and sample receival and storage in the development kitchen.

· Work with Product Development Team to set up evaluation area for testing, sample hand-out and clean-up of food preparation and evaluating area after each session.

· Prepare and serve samples for sensory projects following good kitchen/lab practices; this could include weighing, measuring, cooking, cutting.

· Assist the panels with sensory assessments which includes food & beverages tastings and physical checks.

Some helpful experience to have:

Our ideal Foodie is someone with experience in food preparation and a commercial kitchen environment and passion for great product.

You’ll have fabulous communication and organisational skills and an understanding of how a cooperative model works. You need to be comfortable working in a highly engaged and collaborative team environment so if you’re looking for your next challenge, then this could be the role for you.
