About the role
We’re seeking a Financial Accountant (part qualified) to play an important role within our Financial Control team, reporting to the Moonpig Financial Control Manager and working closely with the wider finance team in London and Amsterdam, as well as the wider business. This is a hybrid role, in the office 2 days a week on average and for an initial 12 month fixed term contract.
The role has month-end responsibilities, suiting someone with a mix of management and financial accounting experience. This role will also help perform analysis for senior stakeholders to better understand our performance.
Key responsibilities
- Producing monthly management accounts including commentary on OPEX actuals vs budget
- Analysing and processing monthly sales and revenue
- Working with the business to improve our processes and workstreams
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations and owning our financial controls
- Assisting with and audit preparation and completion
- Support to various improvement projects, such as streamlining accounting processes, and the roll out of new systems and tools
About you
- Part qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
- Proactive and enthusiastic approach to your work
- An analytical and problem-solving mind-set to understand, challenge and ask the relevant questions
- Good organisational skills, ability to prioritise and high attention to detail
- Excellent Excel skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable working with senior management & non-finance colleagues
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced industry
