Software Engineer II

Fliff unpacks sports gaming into social, free-to-play games for all types of sports fans. We've built a social sports gaming experience that allows users to compete for leaderboard positioning, to achieve badges and build their status within the game.

We are pioneering play-for-fun sports gaming, with our flagship social sportsbook experience that includes sweepstakes promotions and loyalty rewards. We provide sports fans with fun, engaging, and free-to-play alternatives to real money gaming.

If you have a strong passion for technology and are eager to develop your skills, we want you on our team! Fliff is seeking a motivated Software Engineer II to join our growing team. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.

The Role

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance distributed systems using Python and Django
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Implement scalable solutions to handle large volumes of traffic
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure software quality and reliability
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge-sharing

Experience Required

• 2+ years of overall software development experience
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and best practices
• Proficiency in Python and Django
• Experience using AWS or another cloud provider
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
