Job Description

  • This is a Treasury Sales Officer role, managing a portfolio of the subsidiaries of US HQโ€™ed Commercial Banking clients across the APAC market.
  • New sales wins, revenue growth and retention within a predefined portfolio as a corporate sales consultant across all BofA markets โ€“ across treasury, trade and FX
  • Engage key decision makers of the largest and most demanding clients advancing the relationships from 1) access 2) dialogue 3) material relationship 4) pipeline 5) mandate, to 6) strategic advisor
  • Work closely with other regions and Global Commercial banking (GCB) team to deliver solution to our clients
  • Pro-active approach to sales, sending unsolicited proposals, lead client engagement and pitches / presentations
  • Respond to RFPs (request for proposal)
  • Constantly review client names to ensure that the names achieve and maintain hurdle profitability levels or exit the relationship based on the Bankโ€™s business objectives.
  • Identify and implement revenue opportunities for names assigned via cross-sell opportunities through ongoing discussions with clients
  • Coordinate with implementation and services teams to ensure a smooth implementation and high client satisfaction
  • Ensure timely resolution of relationship-sensitive client servicing issues within the organization and act as the senior escalation point in relationship-sensitive key service issues
  • Completion of ad-hoc projects related to names and accounts
  • Develop existing client relationships to advance business opportunities and close deals. Understand client objectives for transaction banking and other cash and treasury related services; effectively match bank resources and capabilities against client requirements to develop business opportunities deliver incremental revenue
  • Ensure complete alignment in client selection and growth strategies with GCB banking colleagues.
  • Design, write and present proposals/cash management solutions to existing and prospect clients
  • Delivery of revenue and new business pipeline in accordance with defined and agreed goals and objectives
  • Ensure full observance of and adherence to applicable compliance and other regulatory requirements and guidelines
  • Provide client and market feedback to management and business partners, including for product development and enhancement
  • Act as Corporate client Sales liaison with Banking, Investment Banking, Credit and Risk; Compliance; Product Management; Client Delivery & Service; Implementation; and Operations
  • Produce or provide input for both external and internal marketing to enhance the visibility of the Bank of America Merrill Lynch franchise
  • Participate in industry events, represent Bank of America externally
  • Coach and support the development of team resources, including Treasury Sales Analysts (TSA)
  • Provide input and briefing information for senior management client calls and other interactions in-region
  • Responsible for making decisions on many day-to-day aspects of client relationships

Requirements

  • Relevant cash and trade sales or relationship management experience within a top tier international/ regional bank
  • Proven track record in managing complex cash and trade deals for multinational corporations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, in English.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong inter-personal and organizational skills
  • Able to successfully develop and maintain collaborative working relationships
  • Strong financial skills
  • Knowledge of Corporate Treasury functions
  • Strong client engagement skills with an unwavering focus on client satisfaction and growing business
  • A strong team player who understands how to leverage various businesses functions/partners to drive business growth and support the US client management and sales teams
  • Willing to travel cross-regions and within the region.
  • Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)

  • Successfully demonstrates creative thinking while adhering to guidelines
  • Strong business/financial acumen

  • European International treasury management experience and product knowledge
  • Intrinsically motivated to continuously improve processes and/or a strong desire to learn
  • Ability to lead small groups while effectively delegating tasks
  • Exercises the desire to mentor and sponsor other Associates
