Power Systems Engineer

As the Power Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting Medium Voltage Switchgear and system design tasks.
• Performing short circuit studies using ETAP or SKM software.
• Designing and modifying Synchronizing systems for Diesel generators.
• Programming Protection relays, particularly with RELION relays.
• Selecting & installing appropriate cables for projects according to requirements.
• Verifying components, interlocking, and interconnections for new MV Switchboard installations.
• Reviewing and verifying bill of materials for existing MV Switchboards.
• Integrating new systems with both new and existing automation systems.

Qualifications:

• Experience in Medium Voltage Switchgear and system design.
• Ability to perform short circuit studies using ETAP or SKM.
• Proficiency in designing and modifying Synchronizing systems for Diesel generators.
• Experience using EPLAN software.
• Familiarity with Automation/SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of cable selection processes.
• Familiarity with verifying components, interlocking, and interconnections for MV Switchboard installations.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $115,000

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
