Job Summary:

This role is responsible for the effective tracking and resolution of nonconformances and CAPA for LUMA construction and Engineering areas.

This position will ensure the smooth transition of nonconformance reports (NCRs) from creation through resolution and closeout, including centralizing NCRs from all functions of the company in the approved database. They will also ensure effective criteria for initiating Corrective Actions are established, CAPAs are efficiently completed and report on the impacts of the CAPA and NCR processes at LUMA.

Job Description:

  • Create and own the workflow process for the CAPA, NCR, Apparent Cause Evaluations (ACE), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes.
  • Develop, monitor and manage database for capturing and processing of CAPAs, NCRs, ACEs, and RCAs.
  • Ensure automated transition of all NCRs to the NCR database from all inspection platforms.
  • Ensure that CAPAs and NCRs that are overdue are executed.
  • Establish and maintain criteria to categorize, prioritize and delegate CAPAs and NCRs based on program and organizational priorities and risk levels.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute Apparent Cause Evaluations (ACE) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Plan, coordinate, and provide training on the CAPA process to all employees.
  • Participate in Risk Assessment teams.
  • Reports on the effectiveness of the NCR and CAPA processes across all programs, including trending and associated performance metric reporting.
  • Ensure proper capture and control of CAPA and NCR documentation and records.
  • May lead teams during projects and monitor their progress to ensure deadlines are meet.
  • When required/upon request, execute major storm restoration work and associated drills, as assigned.
  • Follow all Company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Job Description:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Economics or Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Project Management or Quality Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong skills in MS office, including SharePoint.
  • Fluent written and oral communication in Spanish and English.
  • Experience in CAPA, Risk Management, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience with Intelex, ArcGIS, or similar applications is preferred.
  • Experience in an electric utility industry is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Quality Management or Continual Improvement certification is preferred.
  • Risk Management Certification is preferred.
  • CAPA certification is preferred.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB) is preferred.
