Underwriting Consultant (Hybrid in Austin, TX)

PRIMARY PURPOSE : To provide property, liability and/or workers' compensation underwriting and related services for accounts maintaining underwriting quality, proper rating classifications and targeted loss ratios for risks associated with liability, property, and/or workers’ compensation coverage(s) for new pool prospects and renewals for existing pool and commercial accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university preferred. Property casualty insurance agent license or obtain within 6 months. Valid driver’s license required. Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and/or Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designations preferred.
Experience
Six (6) years of property/casualty and/or workers' compensation underwriting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Underwriting experience with public entity pools and their respective expsoures and coverages preferred.
