We are seeking a Mid-Market Commercialization Consultant who will operate as a lead for commercialization projects on behalf of our clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in B2B sales, particularly in the mid-market commercial and virtual card sectors. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial banking and the ability to drive sales growth within a global bank’s North America sales team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Educate and motivate the North America commercial banking sales team (~300 bankers) to understand and sell commercial and virtual card products to the existing client book.
  • Influence the commercial banking team to prioritize commercial and virtual card products over other solutions.
  • Create a card sales culture that motivates the banking sales team to understand how to sell specific card products and address customer pain points through value propositions.
  • Train bankers on the value proposition, use cases, opportunity identification, competitive positioning, and other dimensions of selling commercial and virtual cards.
  • Create specialized materials, sales collateral, case studies, and “stories” to translate card benefits into a sale. Train bankers to leverage collateral and guides to sell the card product.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to bankers to drive success during banking team meetings. Foster an environment of collaboration and mentorship to reach target goals.
  • Monitor the sales funnel from prospect to close and create metrics to improve performance. Provide management with revenue reporting, goal achievement, etc.
  • Co-create supplier analytics reports, pitch decks, and utilize internal sales tools to increase revenue.
  • Track the sales pipeline and report to leadership.
  • Leverage prior experience in the mid-market segment and commercial and virtual cards to enable the organization to achieve aggressive growth targets.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of middle market commercial and virtual card sales experience.
  • 3+ years of experience coaching mid-market sales teams to exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Expert in Payments.
  • Sales training experience required.
  • Expertise with the consultative selling model.
  • Strong ability to take initiative and confidently direct customer interactions.
