We are excited to open a position on our Platform Infrastructure team within Kiwi.com's Platform domain. Our mission is to empower developers to efficiently build and deploy high-quality software through stable, scalable infrastructure and standardised tooling. We eliminate repetitive work and tackle common engineering challenges, allowing developers to focus on creating innovative travel features. Our belief in automation, self-service, and operational efficiency drives us to continuously evaluate and optimise our technology, ensuring our infrastructure is a competitive advantage. Your role will directly contribute to the success of developers and enhance the travel experience for millions of Kiwi.com users.

What you will do

• You will take on technical leadership, guiding the development of one or several areas within our platform.
• Recognizing that technology is a means to an end, you will proactively seek opportunities to create tangible business value through your technical solutions.
• Your expertise in technology enables efficient and effective results, empowering our team to deliver quickly and with quality.
• With your understanding of the infrastructure, you will propose and make architectural decisions that enhance our platform.
• Participating actively, you will contribute to the enhancement of our engineering standards and processes.
• Your technical knowledge and collaborative nature will serve as an inspiration to your colleagues.
• As a mentor and knowledge sharer, you embody a proactive and solution-oriented attitude, driving progress and mentoring fellow Engineers.

What you will need

• A strong understanding of managing and scaling complex infrastructure, with experience in cloud-based environments such as AWS or GCP.
• Your demonstrated proficiency in using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and command of programming languages such as Python or Go.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their best practices.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools, including Grafana and Datadog.
• You have a proven track record of leading impactful technical initiatives.
• You have good communication skills, can share your ideas concisely, structure them, and stand behind your technical decisions.
• You're proactive and constantly looking for ways to optimise processes and improve efficiency.
