Senior Data Scientist - NLP

General Description

We are looking for professionals with experience as data scientists focused on NLP (natural language Processing) to impact the business with AI initiatives in the American health industry.

Responsabilities:

- Data exploration in order to validate data requirements for NLP context and data quality

- NLP preprocessing such as Tokenization, Lexical Analysis, Syntactic Analysis, Semantic Analysis, Pragmatic Analysis

- Define the best NLP model aligned with business expected outcomes

- Train a model

- Model Mathematical Validation such as accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and ROUGE score.

- Document model development processes, methodologies, and results for internal and external stakeholders.

- Text Classification and Sentiment Analysis: Understanding of text classification techniques and sentiment analysis methodologies. This includes techniques like traditional machine learning classifiers and deep learning models.

- Evaluate and improve the performance of NLP models through rigorous experimentation and analysis.

- Topic Modeling: Familiarity with topic modeling techniques like Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) and Non-negative Matrix Factorization (NMF) for discovering abstract topics from text data.

- Sequence-to-Sequence Models: Understanding of sequence-to-sequence models for tasks like machine translation, text summarization, and question answering.

Requirements for this challenge:

- Advanced oral and written communication skills in English.

- Experience with international project

-Experience acting as a Data Scientist in NLP projects

-Program Language Python with a focus on the following packages:

NLTK (Natural Language Toolkit)

spaCy

Gensim

- Experience with techniques such as Topic Extraction, Summarization, Categorization and Sentiment Analysis

- Problem-solving and Creativity: Ability to think critically, troubleshoot issues, and creatively apply different NLP techniques to solve real-world problems.

- Ethical Considerations: Awareness of ethical considerations related to NLP, including bias in data and models, privacy concerns, and potential societal impacts.

- Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of the data science pipeline, including data gathering, preprocessing, model development, validation, and deployment.

- Use state-of-the-art techniques for handling, analyzing, and visualizing large datasets.

Employ SQL, Python, and other tools to exploit data in the provision of a clear,

strategic vision.

Nice to Have

Experience with Data Augmentation

Experience with Transformers, BERT, Named Entity Recognition (NER)

Experience with data engineering

Experience with MLOps (such as proficiency in Azure ML, Azure DevOps, Azure Container, Apps, and other relevant Azure services for efficient, scalable, and secure model deployment and management)

Experience with databricks

Experience with PII, CCPA, HIPAA data protection
