Research Associate - Genomics Platform

The Opportunity

The Genomics Platform is an interdisciplinary team of researchers with experience in molecular biology, NGS sequencing (long and short reads), spatial transcriptomics, and bioinformatics. We work collaboratively with Biohub research groups and affiliated university laboratories. As part of this effort, we are looking for an energetic, curious, and team-oriented Research Associate to join our team where we focus on sequencing, single cells and spatial transcriptomics technologies. The candidate will participate in the group’s efforts to develop new assays for targeted sequencing projects, test emerging technologies in sequencing and single cell RNA-seq, and participate in spatial transcriptomic projects.

You will

• Under the mentorship and supervision of senior researchers, plan and execute hands-on laboratory procedures to generate sequencing data for internal and external researchers and deploy new molecular tools in diverse experimental contexts
• Rapidly learn and apply molecular biology lab techniques in an active research environment with access to state-of-the-art resources and basic bioinformatics
