Your Role: Senior Software Developer

We’re looking for a Senior Software Developer enthusiastic about creating resilient and responsive services with easy to use APIs to support our customers. In this role, you will have an opportunity to work on a product that enables clients to be able to discover, curate, and organize compelling visuals to execute on their plans.

You will work, learn, and develop with a very agile team which includes product managers and other software developers who are all invested in your success. You’ll primarily work with Go, TypeScript and Node.js (experience with Go not specifically required- we can help you learn that).

Our product has many interconnected parts which requires systems design thinking to build something that is useful and intuitive, while elegantly serving the needs of our users. Immerse yourself in the Destination Marketing industry and solve the important challenges that help these destinations and their communities thrive.

What You’ll Do:

• Become a key contributor to the system architecture of the product.
• Be responsible for developing solutions and delivering features iteratively and quickly with user value and quality in mind.
• Be responsible for managing the defect rate, quality and resilience of the services we build.
• Work with large datasets and define the right data models that will be performant with how customers need to utilize this data.
• Collaborate within your fellow product and design teams to receive feedback, iterate and make your work better. Be there as a thought-partner for others when they need your help.
• Create exceptional user experiences with a commitment to detail and quality.
• Be nimble with the development plan as the team starts to understand the business problem.

What you’ll need:

• 6+ years of development experience and database designs and optimization.
• Operate in fast-paced environments with uncertainty, within a growing company.
• Highly organized with a strong commitment to meeting your goals
• Energized by learning what is unknown; and capable of investigating with little guidance towards possible solutions.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design, software development principles, and design patterns.
• Experience collaborating with your leadership peers and bringing conversations to next steps.
• A passion for your craft.
