Why does this job exist and why is it critical?​

1. Build highly efficient, reliable, and scalable cloud platforms hosting various business solutions. Produce high quality delivery standard to deploy cloud solutions align with agreed design guiding principles and strategy. Deliver cloud platform for implementation and migration projects in accordance with the defined timeline.

2. Develop low level design in accordance with the hybrid cloud architecture standards to ensure delivery consistency and quality. Establish best practices and processes for delivery of hybrid cloud engineering demand. Able to leads the planning, implementation, and stabilization of platforms independently to support new business requirements and technology solutions.

3. Proficient in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM and Google Cloud Deployment Manager. Familiar with tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Chef and other open-source tooling. Experience in infrastructure deployment using these tools.

Work closely with application teams to build & configure the platforms and include setup of any necessary security, automation, monitoring, and platform management processes.

4. Proficient in Ansible playbook writing to manage complex automated workflow and automated provisioning.

Equipped with knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g. Docker) and container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).

5. Proficient in managing IT infrastructure budgets and financial analysis. Experience in FinOPS (Cloud Financial Management) to manage Infrastructure and Cloud related spending. Possess strong technical background to identify wastage and perform cloud spending.

6. Update policy and procedure documentation in key areas such as infrastructure lifecycles, vendor management and resource onboarding processes; review of existing IT processes and controls, assess gaps, and recommend/executing remediation plans.

7. Experience working with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, OpenStack, Linux/UNIX and container technology. Good knowledge on HA and Auto Scaling architecture (Failovers, Clustering, multi region and multi cloud integrations. Build cloud infrastructure solutions including the creation and management of the cloud account/project as well as the compute, storage, and network services utilized in the accounts.

8. Work closely with the security team to implement platform security hardening and design patterns to improve the security posture. Partner with operation team to ensure smooth transition of platforms to support, including recommendations for future automation, performance and capacity targets.

9. Proposes and implements systems enhancements that will improve the reliability, performance and/or resiliency of the system. Identify and track Continuous Improvement opportunities.
