Mission of the Role

In the future, drones will be utilized across various industries and become an essential part of our daily lives. Our goal is to change people's perception of drones and expand the horizons of drone applications. We are looking for a Camera Image Quality Engineer to join our team as a key player in driving technical excellence. As an Image Quality Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our technology initiatives, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver innovative solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for the image quality improvement and image processing software algorithm development of camera modules. You will leverage your expertise to design and implement robust and reliable systems, ensuring optimal performance of our products.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Camera image quality tuning and performance verification
• Camera image sensor bring-up
• Image processing SW algorithm development for AE(Auto Exposure), AWB(Auto White Balance), AF(Auto Focus), NREE(Noise Reduction & Edge Enhancement)
• Setup the image quality assessment specification, plan, and test environment
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams within the company

Minimum Qualifications

• B.S. degree in electrical, electronics, computer science, or image processing
• 10+ years of experience in image quality tuning and performance verification
• Tuning expertise in AE(Auto Exposure), AWB(Auto White Balance), AF(Auto Focus), NREE(Noise Reduction & Edge Enhancement)
• Proficient in C, C++, Python, and shell scripts with a strong understanding of various programming languages
• Profound knowledge and experience with ARM-based SoCs
• Proficient in computer architecture, embedded software, device drivers, operating systems, and Linux
• Proactive and self-driven individual who thrives in a rapidly changing environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Intermediate or higher proficiency in English to collaborate with U.S. team

Optional Qualifications

• M.S. or Ph.D. in electrical, electronics, computer science, or other engineering disciplines
• Experience in Qualcomm ISP tuning and performance optimization
• Deep understanding of camera ISP and image sensor
• Extensive knowledge in image and video signal processing, including ISP and machine learning algorithms
• Knowledge and experience in Linux firmware and Linux-based systems, manufacturing process, and field troubleshooting
