About the Team

Workday on Workday (or “WOW”) is part of our Workday Business Technology organization – providing technology services to our financial, payroll, and human resource functions. We partner with our business partners to provide an outstanding experience within Workday's application. In addition to these services, we're fortunate to have a positive relationship with our Workday product development team around improvements and future design considerations for our own product. Our partnership allows us to align and influence the core value proposition for Workday while directly supporting our workmates.

About the Role

We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join our WOW Finance team. In this role, you will be working closely with our Finance teams to drive process and system improvements that will help enable the finance organization and drive scale. This role will provide technical mentorship, be hands on, respond to reporting/analytics requests, provide project management, build and manage various integrations, and work independently but closely with the functional financial business partners.

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will participate in analyzing business problems and recommending solutions that improve automation and efficiency. This will involve evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet the strategic needs of the business. The BSA will be responsible for ensuring successful maintenance and configuration of new Workday solutions, including redesigning existing features, while also understanding and recommending the optimized approach for implementing new features.

Responsibilities:

This hands-on technical role demands excellent knowledge of business processes and methodologies along with the skills for reporting and analytics. The candidate will have direct hands on experience in Financial Applications design, configuration and implementation.

• Work closely with business partners to understand business processes, goals and gaps
• Drive the planning, prioritization, design, development and deployment of new projects & system improvements
• Responsible for understanding business requirements, configuring the Workday Financials product and documenting, as needed
• Leverage business knowledge and expertise to find opportunities for process improvements
• Participate in the change management and launch support processes of any new and modification of existing configuration
• Facilitate review sessions with functional owners, domain experts, and end-user representatives
• Coordinate and perform system testing to ensure requirements are met
• Assist project team during user acceptance testing (UAT); including tracking issues through to resolution and securing end user acceptance signoff

About You

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting (or related field) or equivalent experience required
• 2+ years of directly related experience working with financial operation in IT, financials operations, or implementing/administering the Workday Financial (or similar) application.
• Understanding of the Accounting Treasury Tax (ATT) and Business Finance (BF) process flows and their inter-dependencies, with focus on sourcing processes
