Job Description Summary
Dematic has an immediate need for a Controls Project Engineer. Candidates will have a minimum of 4-8 years' experience in controls engineering. Qualified candidates are proficient in project planning, creating schematic and electrical layout drawings, working with PLCs and HMIs, and implementation and commissioning of engineering design projects. Employees must be willing to travel up to 40% to customer locations in the USA.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $88,000-$130,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

This is What You Will do in This Role:

  • Completes the design of complex systems that integrate hardware and software.
  • Spearheads complex material specification, schematic (drawings) preparation and appropriate follow-up.
  • Determines recommendations for ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction.
  • Performs complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system design.
  • Ensures standard work packages are followed.
  • Assist Department Manager with various technical processes, including continuous process improvements.
  • Effectively able to communicate to customer and other stakeholders.
  • Performs full range of standard work for the professional field.
  • Refers complex, unusual problems to others.
  • Identifies and resolves more complex problems and applies problem-solving skills in order to deal with most situations.

What We are Looking For:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical)
  • 5+ years experience
  • Experience with Programming in Allen Bradley, AutoCAD or other design tools and Warehouse industry experience preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%.
