The Office of Regional Peace and Security in the Department of State’s Bureau of African Affairs (AF/RPS) advances U.S. foreign policy goals in subSaharan Africa by developing and implementing peace and security policies and programs to create a more secure, stable, and prosperous Africa.

Requirements

The lead curriculum developers and instructors shall report to the Project Manager

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a mass communications, journalism, or media related field.
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in public affairs.
  • At least one year of directly related experience developing curricula or training courses on communication strategy, public sentiment, public relations, digital media, broadcast media, media law, or media ethics.
  • U.S. citizen or national.
  • Knowledge in leveraging effective relationships with foreign audiences and military commands.
  • French proficiency of DLPT +3/+3.
