Copy Editor

The Copy Editor is responsible for reading, fact-checking and editing content across the Catena North America network of sites

YOUR CHALLENGE:

• Primary responsibilities and job duties include but are not limited to the following:
• Read assigned content related to casino, sports betting, or gambling and edit it for clarity and free of errors.
• Ensure accuracy through fact-checking and revise/rewrite copy as required.
• Flag subpar content and provide feedback to stakeholders early in the editing process.
• On occasion, edit or revise content previously published on sites.
• Other tasks as assigned.

TO DO IT, YOU WILL NEED:

• Two- or four-year college degree in journalism or English preferred.
• Experience in digital publishing, both editorial and commercial copy.
• Exceptional understanding of English grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, spelling and knowledge of AP style.
• Utmost attention to detail and an uncompromising commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Experience working in WordPress is preferred, though not required.
