Reporting to the VP of Product & Engineering, the Product Manager (PM) is responsible for product planning, delivery, and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including gathering, prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with development/engineering, business development, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are achieved. Product Manager will assist the VP of Product & Engineering in developing short- and long-term product strategies and roadmaps to manage/develop scalable platforms and products. EVERSANA Data & Analytics team applies advanced analytics and AI/machine learning techniques to the breadth of healthcare and non-healthcare data integrated with our deep clinical expertise to provide a unique and unmatched suite of services and products to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define the product strategy by translating business strategy into product strategy.
  • Develop, own, and execute product and engineering roadmap for developing scalable platforms and products.
  • Drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, requirements and roadmap development, and product launch.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and final development by engineering teams.
  • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI
  • Provide insight to stakeholders on the product and market.
  • Provide product marketing with insights on key differentiators and messages.
  • Manage all aspects of in-life products, including customer feedback, requirements, and issues.
  • Collect, manage and maintain traceability of requirements from all stakeholders across product releases.
  • Write the business case for investments and gain internal approval.
  • Write Product Requirements and Market Requirements documents.
  • Perform product demos to customers and develop relationships with key clients.
  • Monitor, report and improve product performance.
  • Promote the product to sales teams through sales training sessions, webinars, newsletters and other mechanisms.
  • Develop and deliver training to technical sales support.
  • Collate feedback from sales and customers
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams in developing, QA, and releasing products.

EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Travel – Less than 25%
  • Hours – 40+, typically Monday - Friday

Requirements

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of work experience as a product manager in a product and engineering department, or master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Proven success in overseeing all the elements of the product development lifecycle
  • Strong experience in delivering effective product strategies and roadmaps
  • Proven experience with developing and executing product roadmaps for cloud-based solutions such as SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, AaaS, AIaaS and AI/ML products
  • High effectiveness in working with onshore and offshore cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • Good technical backgrounds with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate risks throughout the product lifecycle
  • Understanding of technologies such AWS, Azure, Google cloud ecosystems, Snowflake, Redshift, Power BI/Tableau, Python, SQL
  • Previous experience in software and web development
  • Proven success as a product developer in a nonmanagerial role
  • Highly tuned emotional intelligence, good listening, and empathy for teams and partners

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or Computer Science; a Master's is desired

8-10 years of relevant industry experience (Healthcare, Pharmaceutical Consulting, Management Consulting, Market Research, Hospital systems, Payers, Enterprise level data-analytical solutions)

Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.
