Position summary

T-Mobile is America’s supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Sr. Engineers, Software is located in Atlanta, GA will design, implement, and deploy scalable software to meet customer requirements and enhance networking solutions.

• Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Research, design, and develop computer and network software programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
• Develop full software stack and interact with architects and principal engineers to define system requirements.
• Improve new and existing systems, processes, and services and review existing processes.
• Mentor team members and lead learning sessions.
• Write technical documents for new code and systems, document system designs, presentations, and business requirements for leaders, and understand intellectual property rights.
• Contribute to technical strategy development.
• Translate and document business and functional requirements with Product Owner.
• Maintain best-in-industry technical understanding, expertise, and security knowledge through continued education and training.
• Responsible for ad hoc technical and software projects as needed.

Skill requirements:

Must have some professional experience in each of the following:

• Infrastructure deployment and maintenance on PCF, TIBCO, WebLogic container and Cloud technologies (Docker, AWS, and Kubernetes).
• Behavioral analytics tools (Splunk, AppDynamics, and Grafana).
• Automation scripting using TOSCA for API and web application validation.
• Single page creation using React and Angular and work on CSS extensions, including Sass and Less.
• Database development and maintenance using SQL and Oracle.
• PagerDuty, xMatters and SDLC Jira.

Experience and education requirements:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer or Information Technology, Software Engineering or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Information Technology, Software Engineering or related, and 5 years of related, progressive, post-Bachelor’s experience.
