How will I spend my time in this role?

  • Conduct all HR duties including monthly 1:1’s. appraisals and team objectives;
  • Coach individuals in the team to increase quality in every area by listening to calls and measuring quality;
  • Solve problems across the debt team to increase collections, debt reductions and overall performance;
  • To work with other departments who impact and affect the companies debt position to maintain positive relationships and processes;
  • To ensure that our customers receive a great service;
  • Identify skill gaps and organise and deliver the appropriate training;
  • Ensure that your team is organised and have effective resource plans;
  • Reporting on team progress to Debt Manager and Senior Debt Manager;
  • Use data via PowerBI to improve processes and performance across the debt team;
  • Managing inhouse CRM Queues and improving the Debt Management collection journeys;
  • Any other reasonable activity as required by Management to support Smart Energy’s goals and objectives;
  • Support other debt initiatives across the team and business.

What skills/experience do I need to be successful?

  • Proven Credit Management and Team Leader experience;
  • Intermediate IT skills in MS Office, particularly Excel;
  • Strong leader, ability to coach, develop and lead a high performing team;
